Nelson M.'s Story
Hello everyone I am Nelson M. Carroll, born & raised in Lake Charles Louisiana. I attended Fairview Elementary, Oak Park Junior high, Pearl Watson Junior High. I would have graduated from LaGrange High in 1980, however I quit school & went to the Job Corps. I later got my G.E.D. & went into the U.S. Army where I was a truck driver. After returning home I did various job in the lake city from, Kmart Auto Department then
being an orderly as St. Martin DePores. After this I was a manager at an E-Z mart store for awhile. Well, not being satisfied in myself, I went back into the U.S. Army as a Medic. I work in the E.R. at Ft. Leonardwood Missouri for about two y...Expand for more
ears. Well during that time I developed a condition called sarcoidosis, which is a lung condition that makes it really hard to breathe. Once diagnosed the Doctors gave me about five years to live. However, thanks be to God, I lived 14 years with the help of oxygen, medication & much struggling with this condition. Well in August of 2004 I was able to obtain a double lungs transplant that made it possible to still be here today. Now, I'd just like to see all those that once were a part of my life & share some times of our lives once again. Life is good now & I'd like to see all your faces once again.
